The Beaumont Youth Basketball Association (BYBA) is thrilled to be part of the Jr. NBA program! This co-ed skills-based initiative not only teaches fundamental basketball skills but also emphasizes essential life skills like teamwork, respect, and responsibility.
The Jr. NBA Youth Basketball (JNYB) is a national youth basketball program designed to develop fundamental skills, sportsmanship and a love for the game of basketball. The NBA & Canada Basketball grassroots initiative empowers community sport groups, facilities, and clubs to positively influence youth through basketball.
Practices are held in Beaumont beginning at the end of September through to mid March. There will be an hour long practice once per week, periodic games will be scheduled throughout the season concluding with the EYBA tournament in March.
Every participant in the Jr. NBA Youth Basketball receives:
Enrollment in the official grassroots youth development program of Canada Basketball
Proven curriculum aligned with the LTAD Model
Coaching from NCCP FUNdamentals trained JNYB Coaches
Player Package including jersey, basketball, drawstring bag, certificate, and poster
Parents’ Guide for all JNYB parents
Provincial and national basketball membership and liability insurance
